A Lanarkshire lout bombarded his former girlfriend with threatening calls and messages after questioning her infidelity.
Reece O’Raw hounded the 25-year-old woman from his home in Rutherglen, between February and April 2020.
The 23-year-old’s alarming antics included warnings he would chop her up and post an alleged intimate video to her family and on social media.
O’Raw this week pled guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to engaging in a course of conduct which was the abuse of a partner or ex-partner.
The court heard the pair were together between July 2019 and March 2020.
The victim first received a call from an enraged O’Raw while at a friend’s house in February last year.
Prosecutor Kavin Ryan-Hume said: “He was shouting, swearing, being abusive and accused her of cheating.
"He threatened to slash her which made her shocked and she hung up the call.”
The woman received a further call in March 2020 which made her attend O’Raw’s home.
She told O’Raw that she was going to report him to the police.
Mr Ryan-Hume added: “He said he had videos of her taking drugs and would send them if he was reported.”
O’Raw made another call saying: “I’m going to shame you, I have got pictures and videos.
"I will send them to your dad and post them on Instagram.”
The woman hung up the call before she received a screenshot from an intimate video allegedly of her.
The video was accompanied by a message that said: “Instagram.”
In further messages, the victim was called a “fat slut” and was told she was getting "done in".
Mr Ryan-Hume said: “She received a text from O’Raw saying ‘let’s do this’ and she though this meant she was getting done in.
“She said this was the last straw and she contacted the police.”
A 999 call was made and O’Raw was arrested in April 2020.
Mr Ryan-Hume asked the court to consider a non-harassment order for the woman against O’Raw.
John McLaughlin, defending, told the court: “The victim isn’t identified in that image but it is an intimate image where her head is not visible.”
Sheriff Paul Crozier said to Mr McLaughlin: “He is a large well-built man and on the matters he pled guilty to, that’s quite relevant.”
Sentence was deferred until next month for background reports and O’Raw was bailed meantime.
