Jealous Piers Morgan mocks Phil and Holly in epic National Television Awards rant

Piers Morgan took aim at Phil and Holly on Good Morning Britain today, mocking how the pair are likely to win 'yet another' NTA award.

The outspoken TV presenter's anger was triggered by the National Television Awards, which is set to air tonight (Jan 28).

He slammed his ITV colleagues during a jealous rant where he made fun of the popular daytime hosts regularly beating GMB at the ceremony.

The 54-year-old went on to impersonate Holly and Phil live on air, talking in a high-pitched voice while explaining how he thinks the night will pan out.

"And the winner is... and the camera beams on me to get my angry loser face..." He quipped. "This Morning!"

He continued: "And then Holly and Phil are 'Oh! Oh! Oh! Little old us?'

"And then they get on stage and they talk about 'you know what's so lovely?' - and Holly always does this when she gets me right in her eye-line -"

Susanna then joined in with her co-host, adding: "Is that we are just all one big happy ITV family."

The seething TV anchor then joked how he will be "sitting at home, watching Groundhog Day."

This year the ITV breakfast show has been shortlisted in the Live Magazine Show category in the NTAs.

The GMB crew will battle it out with Channel 4's Sunday Brunch and fellow ITV programmes: Loose Women and This Morning for the gong.

Phillip Schofield, Holly Willoughby and the This Morning team have won the award numerous times over the years, with GMB yet to snatch the the title.

Piers has even previously asked viewers to boycott voting for GMB, saying how it is "law" for This Morning to win the award.
