Pub chain JD Wetherspoon has revealed it is creating 10,000 jobs over the next four years as part of a major investment plan.
The budget pub chain said it will be investing £200m across its business, with the company opening a strong of new pubs and hotels across the UK and Republic of Ireland.
The majority of the new pubs will be opened in small to medium-sized towns.
Areas set to receive a new pub include: Bourne, Waterford, Hamilton, Ely, Diss, Felixstowe, Newport Pagnell and Prestatyn.
But the pub group also said it plans to invest in larger cities, such as London, Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Birmingham, Leeds, and Galway.
Wetherspoon founder and chairman Tim Martin said: "We are looking forward to opening many more new pubs as well as investing in existing pubs over the next four years.
"We are especially pleased that a large proportion of the investment will be in smaller towns and cities which have seen a decline in investment in recent years.
"The fact that we will be creating approximately 10,000 jobs is great news too."
Currently, JD Wetherspoon operates 875 pubs and 58 hotels across the UK and Ireland. The new jobs will add to its existing 44,000 headcount.
In Newcastle, the company has already revealed plans to create a "Super Spoons" in the city centre.
The company's venue at the Mile Castle won a bidding war with more than 30 other firms to buy the neighbouring Gibb Chambers, which will be converted into an extension of the Mile Castle.
The historic building will be turned into a 26-bedroom hotel.
