JD Wetherspoon pubs now let you build your own dream breakfast

You can't go wrong with a Spoons breakfast. It's delicious, it's cheap and it cures a hangover in the very place which it was created.

The bargain fry ups have become a staple in British diets, with the traditional option offering a fried egg, bacon, sausage, baked beans, two hash browns, tomatoes and a slice of toast for around a fiver.

Oh, and there's vegetarian and vegan alternatives too.

But if you've ever tried to ditch the mushrooms or simply couldn't face an egg with a stomach doing flips from the night before, our dear friend JD Wetherspoon has now taken things to another level.

The pubs with the finest carpets in the land has introduced a 'build your own breakfast' option allowing customers full customisation to create the ultimate fry up.

There's seven components to pick from, with sausages (both meaty and veggie), bacon, eggs, hash browns, mushrooms, baked beans, tomatoes and toast on offer.

You can also choose the amount of servings dished up for each, so if you just want to order a plate of hash browns, no one is judging you here.

The option is available on the Wetherspoons app, with Tyla reporting it's currently being trialled in 100 branches, so you'll have to check if there's one near you.

It says pubs are taking part across the country, including The Paramount in Manchester, The Moon Under Water in Oxford and The Grey Friar in Preston.

It's already going down a storm with customers on social media, as one tweeted: "There's a build your own breakfast at Spoons now.... what an incredible time to be alive."

Another wrote: "Spoons do a build your own breakfast for £3.65 and it’s unbelievable."

A third said: "Just read that Spoons now do a build-your-own breakfast.

"Invite is open for anyone to join me in ordering a 7 item brekkie of nothing but hash browns."

See you there.
