JD Vance defends US strikes on Iran after cargo ship attack, says 'violence will be met with violence'

"Iran signed a ceasefire agreement. We have honored it. If they have disagreements about how the MOU is being applied, they can pick up the phone. But violence will be met with violence," Vance wrote on social media, accusing Tehran of violating the ceasefire.

His remarks came shortly after the US military confirmed it had struck multiple Iranian missile and drone facilities near the Strait of Hormuz.
