While it’s hard to feel too bad about dropping the final game of a grueling West Coast road trip to the team with the best record in the NBA, the Boston Celtics’ 122 – 108 loss to the Utah Jazz Tuesday night was still kind of a bitter pill to swallow.
While there’s plenty of good things to point to and plenty of excuses as to why fans should be patient, it was clear this game — and many others — were right there for the taking. Some players are shouldering too much of the load, others are too inconsistent, and yet others need to find a role in a hurry seeing as their usual ones aren’t giving this team what it needs.
