Jazmine Nichol's mysterious Love Island past as she enters villa 'three years late'

Jazmine Nichol has a mysterious Love Island past, with reports suggesting she was meant to be on the show three years ago.

After a distinct lack of Newcastle singles in the new series prior to Casa Amor, city centre club manager and model Jazmine was confirmed to be one of the new girls going into the villa as Islanders like Gemma Owen and Paige Thorne headed into Love Island's infamous second residence.

Jazmine, 21, who is also a model, with campaigns for brands like Pink Boutique and Festigirl, made her first appearance on screen on Sunday night, when viewers saw her and five other bombshells join the boys in the main villa. Jazmine immediately sparked comparisons between her and Lucinda Stratford, a contestant from last year, with some fans stunned by the likeness and branding her 'a clone.'

Prior to making her arrival, Jazmine said she had her sights set on Jacques, while viewers are urging her to go for Andrew and split him and Tasha up. Jazmine has just a few days to secure her future on Love Island before this year's Casa Amor twist comes to and but, whatever happens, it looks like Jazmine's arrival on the programme has come three years later than planned.

Jazmine was talked up by The Mirror as a bombshell for the 2019 series, alongside Molly-Mae Hague, but that didn't happen. The Mirror reported that Jazmine knew Molly-Mae from doing pageants, with a source saying: "Molly-Mae and Jazmine have competed with each other since they were young teens - they know each other's strengths and weaknesses.

"They are both national queens who are used to competing and will do everything they can to beat each other."

Claiming Jazmine was 'ready to jet out' to Mallorca at the time, the insider added: "Both of these girls are very driven and will go after what they want - neither of them is afraid to use tactics to get what they want."
