Jayson Tatum releases trailer for new Nike ad featuring son Deuce

Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum is one of the league’s premier young players and as a hoops addict with a predilection for stylish and innovative sneakers, he’s quickly become one of the more recognizable Nike athletes in a brand that houses some of the sports worlds biggest stars — from LeBron James to Cristiano Ronaldo, from Kevin Durant to Serena Williams.

On Tuesday, Tatum released a trailer for a Nike ad on his Instagram that features he and his son, Jayson Christopher Tatum Jr., nicknamed “Deuce.” The pair are presented as a crime-fighting father-son duo, with a special highlight given to Tatum’s custom Nike Air Max 97’s, complete in superhero suits that matched the sneakers.

It’s one of the more unique Nike ads that have been created and is the type of content that will draw in a younger audience with its animated style. Tatum, 21-years-old and having just completed his second season, is at an age that allows him to influence the young basketball fans as much as any player.

Per Nike, Tatum’s Nike Air Max 97’s are set to release on June 13 at House of Hoops and June 15 across all Foot Locker brands. Tatum has already been one of the faces of the self-lacing Nike HyperAdapt BBs, becoming the first NBA player to wear the sneaker in January.
