Jayson Tatum named Eastern Conference Player of the Week

For the second week in a row, a Boston Celtics player was named NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

Forward Jayson Tatum took home the honors this week. Over the four games played, he averaged 29.8 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.

He was massively efficient, shooting 50% on 20.5 shots per game and 53.8% from 3-point range on 9.8 attempts per game. He made seven 3-pointers against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday.

All four games were wins. The Celtics have now won 10 of their last 11 games.

Tatum has scored at least 20 points in each of the last nine games he’s played.

The 21-year-old follows Jaylen Brown, who was named player of the week last week.

Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic was named Western Conference Player of the Week.
