Jayson Tatum leaves contest with Magic with left shin contusion

As the Boston Celtics were taking on the Orlando Magic on Sunday night in an attempt to move up the standings in the Eastern Conference, they lost a key contributor in the first quarter.

Second-year forward Jayson Tatum left in the opening quarter with a left shin contusion and has been ruled out for the rest of this game, per an official report from the Celtics.

Tatum has been playing very well as of late averaging 16.3 points and 5.3 rebounds while shooting 54.2 percent from deep over the last six games. However, Boston does have legitimate depth and they can turn to Gordon Hayward and Jaylen Brown to pick up the slack.

Boston has homecourt advantage in the first round locked up but now would like to move up in the standings as they have an outside shot of landing the third seed in the East.
