Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum missed out on MVP honors in the Rising Stars game on Friday night, but he earned some hardware in thrilling fashion in the Taco Bell Skills Challenge.
Tatum advanced through his side of the bracket to face Atlanta’s Trae Young in the final – but the speedy Young built a lead in his race through the course. The player who hit a shot from behind the three-point line would be crowed the winner, and while it seemed like Young might get two shots before Tatum arrived to the arc, Tatum drilled a halfcourt shot to steal a victory.
