Jaylon Ferguson’s agent releases statement after combine invite rescinded

The NFL has rescinded yet another invite to the 2019 Scouting Combine due to a past violent offense, but the agent for Louisiana Tech edge defender Jaylon Ferguson isn’t thrilled.

After news came down Wednesday that he was no longer welcome at the combine, Ferguson’s agent released a statement condemning the NFL’s decision (via NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport):

The league’s decision stems from a misdemeanor charge due to a fight that happened prior to Ferguson’s college football career. He is now the third prospect who has been barred from this year’s event in Indianapolis.

Widely regarded as a potential Day 2 pick in the 2019 NFL draft, Ferguson will now have to showcase his talents and meet with league decision-makers at the Bulldogs’ pro day on March 19th.
