Jaylinn Hawkins moment at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium that would have pleased Daniel Levy

There was a moment at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon that would have pleased Spurs chairman Daniel Levy an awful lot.

After putting in a stellar performance that inspired the Atlanta Falcons to victory over the New York Jets in north London, Jaylinn Hawkins emerged to face the media in a Spurs home shirt.

The Falcons safety had earlier picked off rookie Jets quarterback Zach Wilson on a pass intended for Keelan Cole, which was the first interception of the 24-year-old's career, and as such was all smiles when he appeared for media duty after the match.

Hawkins was wearing the Spurs shirt over the top of a white hoodie and sported an official Falcons hat, which will surely please Levy as he hopes to establish more links between the club and the NFL.

Tottenham currently have a 10-year deal with the NFL to stage two games a season at their stadium, with the club hoping to extend their brand across the Atlantic and tap into the American audience.

Levy would be well aware that images of Hawkins wearing the famous white Spurs shirt will be screened across America, with the match being shown live in the USA over the morning.

American football fans will get another chance to see the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next Sunday as the Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars go head-to-head there.

The Jaguars last came to London in 2019 where they suffered d a 26-3 defeat to Houston Texans, though this will be the club's first time playing at Spurs' ground.
