Jaylen Watson’s interception seals Chiefs’ trip to AFC Championship Game

The quarterback was defying the Jacksonville Jaguars’ defense playing on one good leg.

Synergy dictated a defensive player on the Kansas City Chiefs make the play that sent the AFC West champions to the conference championship game with … one hand.

Trevor Lawrence was trying to rally the Jaguars from a 10-point deficit Saturday in the fourth quarter at Arrowhead.

The second-year QB’s pass with less than 4 minutes left was picked off by Jaylen Watson.

Kansas City went on to close out the Jaguars, 27-20, in an AFC divisional round game.

Riley Patterson kicked a 48-yard field goal with 25 seconds left for the final points in the game.

Kansas City’s Kadarius Toney recovered an onside kick to end the Jaguars’ hopes.

The Chiefs will play either the Buffalo Bills on a neutral site in Atlanta or the Cincinnati Bengals at Arrowhead on Jan. 29 with the AFC’s spot in the Super Bowl on the line.
