Jaylen Brown questionable for Monday matchup with Heat with back spasm

The Boston Celtics continue to be riddled with nagging injuries as they navigate through these remaining five games in precaution for the playoffs.

As they prepare to take on the Miami Heat on Monday in Dwyane Wade’s final appearance in Boston, the Celtics say that Jaylen Brown is questionable with lower back spams.

Brown is averaging 13.0 points and 4.3 rebounds per game (while shooting 46.3 percent from the field and 34.2 percent from three) in what has been mostly a bench role this season, but he’s played better as of late averaging 14.9 points and 3.9 rebounds per game while shooting 55.0 percent from the field 52.8 percent from deep over the last 10 games.

The Celtics dropped their previous contest to the Nets by 14 on the road and will be looking for a much better performance on Monday. They would like to have the presence of Brown off their bench to help in that regard and if he can’t go, Boston will need others to produce in his place.

Tip-off from the TD Garden is at 7:30 P.M. EST.
