Jaylen Brown moving on after loss to Hornets: ‘Tomorrow is a new day’

Like the rest of the Boston Celtics were after their collapse led to a 124-117 loss to the Hornets in Charlotte, Jaylen Brown was trying to figure out what happened.

At the same time, he told reporters he and his team are looking towards Sunday’s game.

Where do you start? It’s over with so I try to just move on. We’ve had certain times in the year where we just let it set us back and it’s too late in the year to do that so our thought process is all on San Antonio tomorrow.

Brown scored a season-high 29 points off the bench in support of Kyrie Irving’s 31 points, his fifth straight game of 30+ points, but it wasn’t enough to hold off the Hornets.

Charlotte outscored Boston 35-19 in the fourth to complete the comeback.

As Brown mentioned, the Celtics are too deep into the season to let a loss like this impact them. They need to move on to the next matchup and with the Spurs in town on Sunday, their turnaround will be a quick one.

We just can’t let it get us in a funk. We gotta keep going. We have a back-to-back tomorrow so we can’t really think about it too much.
