Jaylen Brown gives jersey to former President Barack Obama

Boston Celtics swingman Jaylen Brown has reason to be inspired.

Brown spent time Monday with former U.S. President Barack Obama, presenting the former commander in chief with a No. 7 Celtics jersey. Brown posted about the meeting on Instagram, saying “What a great opportunity to learn today @barackobama thank you for taking the time.”

Within the post, Brown shared a photo of the Earth with the quote, “Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”

Last year in the Orlando bubble, Brown expressed his support for Obama by wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the 44th president’s likeness.

Brown made his first All-Star appearance this season, playing in 58 games while averaging 24.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists. He missed the playoffs after undergoing surgery to repair an injured wrist.
