Jay Swingler almost sends YouTube rival Cherdleys through ropes with vicious KO

Jay Swingler viciously put away YouTube boxing rival Cherdleys within a minute as KSI brought back his Misfits Boxing promotion for a sophomore effort.

YouTube comedian Cherdleys had fans in stitches throughout the build-up with his wacky persona, declaring that his pre-fight prediction was for a "split decision" and getting a haircut during his final interview. And there appeared to be a solid friendship between the two main event fighters brewing ahead of their showdown.

However, that all went out the window from the first bell as Swingler flew out of the traps and had Cherdleys down early in the first. Despite having previously claimed that he had fighting experience going into the bout, the American looked flat footed and was brutally put away within seconds.

The card had its fair share of excitement from start to finish, with a number of barn-burning clashes and vicious knockouts. Giant cruiserweights Joel 'JMX' Morris and Tik Tok star Ginty had a stunning two-round bout that saw both men dropped in the firs before the 6'5" Morris drew medics to the ring for a vicious stoppage in the second.

That concussive finish was followed by a grudge match months in the making between Slim Albaher and Ryan Taylor. The pair's scheduled July meeting was cancelled after a brawl in their hotel lobby that saw the American suffer a detached retina, but they finally got to meet in the ring in Sheffield.

Taylor toughed it out after being put down in the first round, but was unable to land much of note and was comfortably beaten on all three judges scorecards. However, he impressed fans with his chin, and will take a moral victory of sorts after ending his rival's perfect knockout streak.

Another key player on the undercard was pornstar Astrid Wett, who started her boxing career with a second round stoppage of long-time rival Keeley Colbran. The youngster attempted to pressurise early, but ran out of steam quickly and was pulled in the second by her corner.

Elsewhere on the card, Jake Paul's teammate Anthony Taylor finally landed an influencer boxing win when he dominated X-Factor winner Ashley Tebi. He dropped the singer within three seconds of the first round, but was unable to finish the fight despite a massive performance. Opening the event was Halal Ham, who won a controversial decision in the opening fight of the night against rapper DTG.
