Jay-Roy Grot makes it clear he is not done at Leeds United as he returns home on loan

Jay-Roy Grot has publically thanked Leeds United for his next loan opportunity after it was announced he's being sent back out on loan to Eredivisie for next season.

The striker was first brought to Elland Road for an undisclosed fee in August 2017 from NEC Nijmegen and went on to make 23 appearances, but just one Championship start.

Grot, 21, was sent out on loan for the first time last summer, where a season of regular football followed with VVV-Venlo. He'll be heading back to Eredivisie next season to develop in his home city of Arnhem.

His latest message suggests he still has not given up on one day making it at United and sees the latest loan spell as an opportunity to further develop his game.

"Ready for this new adventure in my home town!", he wrote in the Instagram caption . "I want to thank @wassermannl (Wasserman) for making this possible, VVV Venlo for last season and Leeds United for another opportunity to develop myself"

The top-flight Dutch side have a reputation for developing young talent, often on loan from Chelsea. The Blues have sent the likes of Jake Clarke-Salter, Charly Musonda, Lewis Baker and even Nemanja Matic on loan to the club in recent years.
