Jay Gruden says he doesn’t plan to change Redskins starting QB

After Monday night’s 31-15 loss to the Chicago Bears, Jay Gruden said he is not considering making a change at quarterback for the Washington Redskins and Case Keenum will remain the starter.

Keenum had his worst game of the year against the Bears, and it quite possibly could have been the worst game of his career. He went 30-for-43 with two touchdowns and three interceptions. He also fumbled the ball three times, losing two of them, including a fourth-quarter fumble on 4th-and-1 that ended the Redskins’ hopes at an improbable comeback.

Apparently, Gruden feels confident rolling with that option as Washington travels to face the New York Giants and their young quarterback, Daniel Jones.

If Gruden were smart, he would start Haskins and make this game one of the most highly anticipated matchups of the season so far. However, it appears that it will be Keenum out there yet again, trying to will the Redskins to victory.

We’ll just have to see if Gruden is around long enough to make that decision this week.
