Jay Gruden says Montez Sweat was kicked in the calf, will be okay

A brief injury scare took place on Wednesday morning at Washington Redskins training camp, where rookie Montez Sweat left the field and entered the medical tent, walking gingerly with trainers.

However, beat reporters on the ground are saying that Sweat is okay, according to head coach Jay Gruden.

Gruden says that Sweat was kicked in the calf, and he will be okay, according to JP Finlay with NBC Sports Washington.

A deeper sigh of relief can be taken later today when Gruden is allowed to delve deeper on the injury, but for now, take solace in the fact that Washington’s coach does not believe the injury to be of major concern.
