Jay Gruden met with WVU QB Will Grier

The Washington Redskins aren’t trying to hide the fact they are looking at quarterbacks in the 2019 NFL draft.

With meets reportedly set up with prospects like Dwayne Haskins, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to learn Redskins coach Jay Gruden met with West Virginia quarterback Will Grier after the program’s pro day.

Grier has thrown for 34 or more touchdowns in each of his last two seasons and he’s outspoken and confident after a strong combine. He’s not considered a first-round pick by some, but the pro upside appears to have him in the borderline conversation.

The Redskins sit in an interesting spot and are clearly considering all options. At 15, they could choose to move up for a Haskins. With Grier, they could stand pat or even risk moving back.
