Jawaan Taylor NFL draft profile

Jawaan Taylor | OT | Florida

Height | 6-5

Weight | 328

Class | Junior

College Bio

A three-year starter for the Gators, Taylor split time between left and right tackle throughout his career, but he primarily manned the right side. He’s a nimble big man with a athletic skill-set for a player of his size, showing above-average balance, reaction skills and foot speed to protect the edge, and heavy hands to absorb power at the point of attack.

He can struggle at times with speed off the edge, especially flexible rushers who can bend underneath him, but Taylor has the frame, competitive nature, balance, and forceful hands to thrive in pass protection and in the run game. He has the reliable character, can-do attitude, and pro-ready make-up that fits NFL locker rooms.

Overall, Taylor has a high ceiling and should step into a starting right tackle role as a rookie with the ability to move to the left side down the road in his professional career.

Current Projection: 1st Round
