Jawaan Taylor, Greg Little would love to block for Saquon Barkley

The New York Giants met with a handful of offensive line prospects at the 2019 NFL Combine on Thursday, and they all seemed to share a very similar sentiment.

While just making it to the NFL is a life-changing experience for most, the possibility of blocking for New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley proved to be icing on the cake for many.

Florida offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor, who had a meeting with the Giants this week, admitted that it would be a “dream come true” to block for the 2018 AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Of course, Taylor also said the exact same thing about Sam Darnold and the New York Jets.

But Taylor wasn’t alone.

Ole Miss offensive tackle Greg Little, who also met with the Giants this week, expressed the same enthusiasm about potentially paving the way for Barkley.

“Saquon. . . He’s an explosive guy. It would be an honor to block for Saquon,” Little told reporters. “Great, great competitor. He’s fun to watch. I’m a real giddy guy about seeing great talent and playing with Saquon would be an honor.”

The Giants are in need of help along their offensive line, particularly at right tackle, so if they do opt to pass on a quarterback in Round 1 of the 2019 NFL Draft, don’t be surprised if they target players like Little or Taylor.
