Javi Gracia and Leeds United sent Premier League survival prediction after Brighton draw

Leeds United's Premier League survival prediction remains unchanged despite picking up a point against high flying Brighton. FiveThirtyEight’s supercomputer - which uses statistical information and detailed data analysis to calculate how the Premier League table will finish in May – thinks the Whites will end the season in 16th place, just one point above the bottom three.

Javie Gracia's side were able to bounce back from a narrow defeat to Chelsea last weekend, with a point against a Brighton side pushing for European football. It wasn't a great weekend of results for Leeds, with five - including the Whites themselves - of the bottom six picking up points.

There were wins for Bournemouth and Everton which lifts them above Leeds pulling Gracia's side back into the relegation zone. The supercomputer still has the Whites down to survive this season, but their chances of relegation have gone up to 31% from 29% the previous weekend.

Nonetheless, that still puts them above drop zone rivals Bournemouth (46%), Everton (47%), Nottingham Forest (50%) and Southampton (59%). The Saints are tipped to finish rock bottom on 34 points, the Toffees in 19th on 36 points, Forest in 18th on 36 points and Bournemouth staying up in 17th place on 36 points.

For Leeds, 37 points would be enough to ensure Premier League survival, but there's been plenty of twists and turns throughout the campaign and this one is expected to go to the wire.

Whites' supporters had hoped they'd avoid a repeat of last season where they stayed up on the final day, beating Brentford, while Newcastle condemned Burnley with a win at Turf Moor.
