Jason Quigley vows to bring world title home to Ireland ahead of November showdown

Jason Quigley believes he can be the man to topple the undefeated Demetrius Andrade when the two face off in next month's WBO World Middleweight title fight in Manchester, New Hampshire.

The fight takes place in Manchester, New Hampshire on Friday November 19 and will be shown live worldwide on DAZN.

Quigley ramps up his preparations this weekend as he heads over to England to continue training camp with his ex-world champion trainer Andy Lee.

He will soon depart for America's East Coast as his date with destiny looms large.

Quigley has a record of 19 wins and just one loss to his name, with 14 of those victories coming via knockout.

His opponent Andrade will prove Quigley's stiffest test to date; the title holder has a perfect record of 30-0, inlcuding 18 knockouts.

Andrade has successfully defended his belt four times to date, including when he swatted away Irishman Luke Keeler's attempt in January 2020.

That will make Quigley's challenge in November Andrade's second defence against an irishman, and Quigley feels that now is his time to shine and to take home the belt previously held by his trainer Andy Lee.

He also has faith in his fans Stateside, who he believes will show up in numbers and roar him on to victory.

“He needs fights, and the big guns are avoiding him,” said Quigley. “I’ll happily step in and bring that title back to Ireland.

“I’m at the perfect stage in my life and my career to deal with this situation. I’m not the young kid now living for the whole excitement of fighting for a world title.

“This is just another fight and I'm training my absolute ass off in the gym to get that W. To win will mean so much in this fight than in any other fight.

“I know that I can bring stuff to the table that is going to upset him, make him see things that he’s not always seen inside the ring.

“I honestly believe the Irish fans will outweigh his fans come fight night 100 per cent.”
