Jason Peters initiated the conversation with the Eagles about returning to left tackle

The Philadelphia Eagles announced that Jason Peters will start at left tackle against the Washington Football Team on Sunday in a turnaround from what seemed like a disaster in the making.

Peters had allegedly sought out more compensation to make the move and it’s unknown if that report is true, but what can confirm is that it was Peters on his own, that walked into Doug Pederson’s office and made the suggestion.

Pederson had previously stated that Peters was comfortable at right guard despite watching Matt Pryor struggle at left tackle over the past two weeks of training camp.

With Peters back at left tackle, the Eagles will have the option of playing Matt Pryor or Jack Driscoll at the right guard, the natural positions for both players.
