Jason Momoa reprises Khal Drogo role for Game of Thrones-themed SNL sketch

Khal Drogo returns.

While hosting Saturday Night Live, actor Jason Momoa reprised his famous Game of Thrones role for a talk show parody called Khal Drogo’s Ghost Dojo, in which deceased characters from HBO’s fantasy show came back from the underworld.

Those to make appearances included the High Sparrow (Pete Davidson), Hodor (Beck Bennett) and – although the character is not dead – Brienne Of Tarth (Heidi Gardner).

Following an advert break, filed with spoof Game of Thrones-themed sponsors including an advertisement for the wedding venue where the infamous “Red Wedding” occurred, the talk show returned for its standout guest: Kate McKinnon as Joffrey Baratheon.

“Go ahead and boo me, I love it. You’re just mad that you’re not me,” McKinnon’s Joffrey said, walking on stage to boos. After making a reference to viral Dr Phil guest Danielle Bregoli’s catchphrase “cash me outside”, McKinnon’s Joffrey got into a fight a fight with Aidy Bryant’s Oleanna.

The sketch ended with Kyle Mooney hosting an aftershow for the talk show called “Talking Dojo”, with Momoa then interrupting and stabbing the host, declaring: “No more aftershows!” Watch the full sketch below.

Also on Saturday Night Live, Robert De Niro made an appearance as Robert Mueller to mock Donald Trump over the ongoing Russian investigation.
