BBC sports presenter Jason Mohammad has seen his annual salary rocket to £355,000 in the last year, according to the latest pay list published by the Corporation.
The former news reporter and presenter with BBC Wales was among the list of people at the Beeb earning between £260,000-£269,999 in 2017/18.
But in the last 12 months his salary has gone up by close on £95,000, putting him among the top 10 of the BBC's highest earning presenters and third among those fronting sports programmes.
The Cardiff-born presenter, who is a big Bluebirds fan and still lives in the city, has seen his UK profile and stock with the BBC rise in recent times.
He presents Saturday’s Final Score programme, and was part of the BBC’s 2018 World Cup coverage in Russia.
He also fronts Radio 5 Live's 606 show as well as radio and TV programmes for BBC Wales.
Among the highest earners in sport, Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker has not taken a pay cut from last year, meaning he still earns a whopping £1.75m.
But pundit on the Saturday night show Alan Shearer's listed salary has gone up.
He is on £440,000 to £444,999, up from £410,000 to £419,999 last year.
Other sports presenters and pundits include Gabby Logan (£290 to £294,999), Dan Walker (£280,000 to £284,999) and Jermaine Jenas (£210,000 to £214,999).
The figures are the first salary disclosures since the BBC announced it would be scrapping the universal free TV licence for over-75s.
And they came after the BBC's director-general Lord Hall said the public backs the broadcaster giving high salaries to "big stars" because they are "talented and entertaining".
He said Match of the Day presenter Lineker would earn significantly more if he went to work for a commercial rival - and claimed the public told the BBC they wanted the broadcaster to hire big stars.
