Jason Manford and Catherine Tyldesley recreate Dirty Dancing duet as they film new show

Jason Manford and Catherine Tyldesley have gone all 'Dirty Dancing' on us as they film a brand new show together.

The comic and former Coronation Street actress are currently working on new BBC comedy Scarborough together - some of which was actually filmed in Stockport.

Penned by Benidorm writer Darren Litten, the pair play a couple of nearly-40-somethings giving their relationship another go, five years after they split.

And the new co-stars seem to be getting on like a house on fire if Catherine's latest Instagram post is anything to go by.

The 35-year-old, who played Eva Price in the ITV soap, shared a video to the social media platform of her and Salford's Jason doing their best Johnny and Baby routine by performing karaoke to the movie classic '(I've Had) The Time of My Life'.

Catherine captioned the post: "@DerrenLitten babes... I feel #Scarborough the musical coming on!! @jasonmanford."

The video has received rave reviews from fans but it was a 'scene stealer' that took most of the glory.

Whilst Catherine and Jason, 37, give it everything they've got, the camera pans to behind the on-screen couple and one punter, who was clearly enjoying his game of pool, didn't have a clue what was going on.

Bolton's Paddy McGuinness was one of the first to make the spot commenting: "Scene stealer in the back of shot! PS he was a great ref."

And the rest of the comments followed.

"Love the bloke oblivious to it all just setting up his pool balls," commented one.

Another said: "Love this just for the pool bomber in the back."

We don't think he knew he was on camera (Catherine Tyldesley Instagram)

A third added: "Fab but the bloke in the background is genius...'Just came out for a quiet game of pool and it's bloody X Factor' pmsl....I'd go to the musical defo."

But actually, there was one more important question one fan asked: "Where’s the lift!!"

Make it happen guys!
