Jason Knight is riding high from his finish of Artem Lobov and has set his eyes on Paulie Malignaggi next.
Knight avenged his loss to Lobov this past Saturday at BKFC 9, taking him out in the fifth round. It was a much more refined and technical performance by Knight compared to first outing with Lobov, and now he wants former boxing world champion Malignaggi.
But he wants him at his own game.
“@paulmalignaggi I know u don’t want to fight BKFC again but what would u say to a boxing fight ?? I have no prior pro boxing matches but I bet I can school you at your own game!!”
Malignaggi participated in his first bare-knuckle boxing match in June when he faced Lobov at BKFC 6. He lost the fight by unanimous decision. It was a fight he thought he won, but Malignaggi said he is done and will no longer compete.
Would a fight with Knight lure him back in? Maybe not. But Knight calling him out for a boxing match and claiming he can school him may be the right strategy to get him to respond.
I guess it was worth a try …
