Jason Kelce had the classiest reaction to the Eagles picking his replacement, Cam Jurgens

At 34, Jason Kelce is still chugging along for the Eagles.

The Super Bowl champion is arguably the league’s best center. But Kelce’s not going to play forever. Someday, he will hang up his pads. And that day might be coming sooner than later.

The Eagles took a center in the 2022 NFL Draft with the No. 51 overall pick,  Nebraska’s Cam Jurgens. The prospect undoubtedly will soon be their man in the middle. In other words, he’s Kelce’s eventual replacement.

Ever the calm and composed leader, that didn’t appear to faze Kelce, who’s been broadcasting live during the draft with Bleacher Report’s Adam Lefkoe. In fact, Kelce knew the Eagles were drafting Jurgens and he wholeheartedly loved the pick.

It’s one thing to maintain your composure when your employer drafts the person who will one day take your job. It’s another thing entirely to give him a wholesale endorsement live on camera.

Few people would be gracious and secure enough to leave behind their ladder for someone else to climb. Kelce is definitely one of them.
