The Philadelphia Eagles have one of the top offensive lines in all of football and one reason for their success is the ability to both run and pass protect with the best of them. One-dimensional offenses don’t necessarily win championships in today’s NFL, so the ability to both run and pass with equal balance goes a long way in determining who’s hoisting the Lombardi Trophy.
Pro Football Focus recently graded the league’s most balanced offensive lineman across every position by using their PFF grades from last season. By combining the three offensive line positions and grading them based on their run-blocking and pass-blocking scores, PFF came up with the NFL’s most balanced offensive linemen at each position from last season.
Terron Armstead of the Saints got the nod at tackle, while Zack Martin of the Cowboys was the most balanced guard.
Getting the nod as the most balanced center in the league according to Pro Football Focus, was the Eagles all-world center, Jason Kelce.

Jason Kelce may very well be the best all-around offensive linemen in the NFL, and his 2018 season further proved that point. The nine-year veteran paced all centers with an 84.9 overall grade through the regular season — the third-highest mark of his storied Philadelphia career.
Kelce also led all centers in run-blocking grade at 82.9 — with a 14.82% run-blocking success rate — while adding a career-high 87.7 grade in pass protection this season that ranked second to only Oakland’s Rodney Hudson (90.8).
Never forget, Kelce graded out as the most balanced center in the NFL, all while batting three serious injuries at the same time last season.
