It's been 30 years since Neighbours.
But Jason Donovan has been using lockdown to think about his future.
And despite having Ten plenty of Good Reasons to stay in music and theatre, he’s revealed he would love to go back to TV or follow in ex Kylie Minogue’s footsteps and try a bit more film.
However Jason, 51, fears there’s one thing standing in the way – himself.
He said: “The good news is I’m Jason Donovan. But the bad news is – I’m Jason Donovan. Some might think, ‘surely that’s all good’, but... well, it means it’s not as forthcoming as I would probably like it to be. Coming out of the 80s I had a lot of opportunities. Then I became seduced by becoming a pop star.”

But on an Instagram chat with Tina Arena, he teased: “I’m excited about the future.”
With Jason’s huge fanbase, the first soap to make the call, will clean up in the ratings.
Jason was appearing as the narrator in The West End’s Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat but thinks plans to reopen in summer are not “going to happen”.

And, not to cause Too Many Broken Hearts, but his tour later in the year could also be up in the air.
“It is going to be a tough one to work out,” he added.
Jason appeared in a TV movie Dial M for Middlesborough last year, but previously hadn’t had a serious drama role since the BBC soap experiment Echo Beach/Moving Wallpaper in 2008.
