Striker Jason Cummings says he is delighted to finally feel wanted by a manager again after completing his move to join Sam Rickett's Shrewsbury Town.
The 24-year-old was frozen out at Nottingham Forest by Martin O'Neill and then Sabri Lamouchi, with the latter informing him that he was not a part of his City Ground plans.
But since arriving at Shrewsbury's Sundorne Castle training ground, the forward says he has enjoyed the rare luxury of working under a manager who is happy to have him - something he longed for at Forest.
"I am delighted," Cummings told Shrewsbury's official website. "I spoke to the gaffer a few weeks ago and he was really keen on getting me in.
"That is half the battle, finding a manager who wants you, because the last season I have not played as much as I wanted - and the gaffer says he can help me with that.
"He knows that I can bring goals to the table and it is just about getting my fitness up.
"I bring plenty of League One experience. When I was at Peterborough I scored lots of goals during the first month and won player of the month aswell."
