Kenny Miller reckons Dundee may have been 'petty' to suspend Jason Cummings for his Hydro appearance.
The Dens Park hitman attended an Open Goal live show without the club's permission and was punished by being dropped from the squad to face Hearts this weekend.
The Jambos' own Andy Halliday and Dundee United's Charlie Mulgrew were also in attendance.
And Miller, now coaching at Falkirk, has called his old club Dundee into question.
He says it depends on what the club's policy is for attending events of this nature.
But ultimately he feels the decision to suspend Cummings was "petty."
He said on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard: "Unless there's been other issues surrounding the visit to the Hydro I don't see what's wrong with it.
"Unless there was things put in place that they weren't allowed or they need to have it cleared.
"If they had it cleared and they're allowed to go I don't really see it.
"If he did need to get the club's permission and that's been stipulated to him, absolutely.
"But he's a grown man, he can make his own decisions.
"I'm sure there was a Hearts player on the stage as well probably.
"If that's been the rules and that's been the procedure put in place then fair enough, I get it.
"If not, I think it's a little bit petty."
