Jason Atherton announces plans for new 16-seat London restaurant H.O.M.E.

Internationally renowned chef and restaurateur Jason Atherton has announced plans for a new 16 cover restaurant in Mayfair.

Speaking to Square Meal, Atherton revealed that the exclusive new restaurant has the working title H.O.M.E., and will be located next door to his Michelin-starred flagship Pollen Street Social.

The space is currently rented out by Atherton to pop-up ventures, but the chef has ambitions to turn it into “[his] Araki” – referencing the nearby three Michelin-starred sushi restaurant which has just nine seats – and plans for it to be a “purely creative outlet” serving a set menu.

Atherton also revealed that Pollen Street Social will undergo an extensive refurbishment and that he will “probably spend another million quid on it”.

The news follows the closure of two of Atherton’s London restaurants this summer, with Temple & Sons closing at Tower 42 and Clerkenwell Japanese venture Sosharu due to relocate.

The restaurant will add to Atherton’s extensive international restaurant portfolio, which counts seven locations currently open in London, three of which hold Michelin stars.

The Standard has contacted representatives for Atherton for comment.
