Jarvis Landry’s offseason increases motivation, love for football

Jarvis Landry has been an interesting figure for the Cleveland Browns since his arrival. When then-GM John Dorsey traded with the Miami Dolphins to get their franchise player, the Browns were struggling as an organization.

Not everything has gone smoothly since his arrival but Landry has been a constant spokesperson for the team and passionate about the ability for the team to succeed. As Browns fans have seen in the past, this is a marked change from previous veterans who have signed big-money deals and then given very little to the team.

Landry has also struggled with different injuries in his time in Cleveland including a hip surgery last offseason.

This offseason has been different for Landry and the Browns. The team now has high expectations and Landry didn’t have to rehab from any specific injury. Instead, the Browns slot receiver was able to focus on getting faster and stronger overall instead of devoting time to injury recovery. Needless to say, Landry feels a difference:

Cleveland has seen Landry’s level of motivation and love in the past. If he’s hit a new level of both, the intensity could be off the charts in training camp.

With another year in the Kevin Stefanski system and an offseason devoted to health instead of rehab, Landry could be set for another great year. More importantly, Cleveland hopes Landry can help lead the Browns to a Super Bowl in 2021.
