Jarvis Landry ready to break his touchdown drought

It almost happened in Week 8. Jarvis Landry had a Baker Mayfield pass hit him in both hands in the end zone against the Las Vegas Raiders. Alas, Landry got hit and the ball flipped to the ground.

Landry is still looking for his first touchdown of the 2020 season. Near-misses like that one in the Browns’ last game before the bye week weigh on the veteran wideout.

“It hurts my heart so bad, but I’m focused,” Landry said this week on his Zoom media session. “I have to make those plays, and they will come.”

Landry caught six TD passes a year ago, including one in the Week 17 finale. And he has thrown a touchdown pass this year, but “Juice” has yet to find the end zone on his own.

He and Larry Fitzgerald of the Cardinals are tied for the most receptions without a touchdown in 2020, with 33 apiece.
