Jarvis Landry excited to face the Colts in joint practices

Count Jarvis Landry as one of the Browns players excited to head to Indianapolis this week for joint practice sessions with the Colts.

Landry participated in joint practice sessions when he was with the Miami Dolphins, including a spirited set against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Browns Pro Bowl wideout appreciated getting to work against different defenses in practices.

“Obviously, it is always good to go against an opponent, somebody different than the guys you see,” Landry said when asked about the upcoming joint sessions in Indianapolis. “A lot of NFL receivers, the (Browns) DBs know our routes, our splits and stuff like that so it is good to go against the people that have not seen it before and be able to execute. It is good. They were playoff contenders too last year so it will be good.”

Landry sat out the preseason opener against Washington, so he hasn’t yet faced anyone besides the Browns’ defensive backs. So will Landry play in the actual game on Saturday night?

“We will see as far as what the plan is for that, the week and the game next Saturday. Obviously, we are going to get great work throughout the week going against those guys. We will see.”
