Jarrett Culver makes case to play with LeBron in Lakers workout

Texas Tech’s Jarrett Culver came through the UCLA Health Training Center for a pre-draft workout in front of LeBron James and the Lakers, before answering questions from the media about why he thinks he could fit with LeBron.

The 6-6 guard who led the Red Raiders to their first Final Four appearance in school history made his case to the media regarding his ability to play on both ends while also being able to shoot better on 3-pointers than he did in college (30.4%).

“Being a two-way player. Being able to operate with LeBron. I know he’s going to have the ball a lot,” Culver said after his pre-draft workout.

“And being able to play defense, I feel like I can adjust to defense in the league very well, guard guys, and just playmaking.”

The Lakers will presumably have their choice of several players with the fourth pick, as Zion Williamson, Ja Morant and RJ Barrett are all expected to go in the top three picks. Culver is one of the players in the range of their pick, as well as scoring point guard Darius Garland from Vanderbilt.
