Boxer Jarrell Miller had his hairpiece punched off during a fight in New York on Saturday night.
The outspoken American heavyweight claimed a tough split-decision win over Kingsley Ibeh on the undercard of Shakur Stevenson’s dominant WBO super-lightweight title victory against Teofimo Lopez at Madison Square Garden.
It was Miller’s first win since stopping Lucas Browne in March 2023, having been knocked out by Daniel Dubois, drawn with Andy Ruiz Jr and not fought at all since the summer of 2024 having seen proposed bouts against the likes of Fabio Wardley, Jared Anderson, Michael Hunter and Derek Chisora all fall through.
However, the fighter nicknamed ‘Big Baby’ became subject to a viral moment during his win over Ibeh, when a punch to the top of the head saw his toupee dislodged.

Miller then threw his toupee into the crowd. It landed outside the ring and was picked up by WBO heavyweight champion Wardley, sitting at ringside, who placed it on an empty chair next to him and posted a video on social media alongside the caption: “Don’t worry, I’ll keep it safe.”
Explaining the incident after his victory, Miller laughed it off and claimed that his hair had fallen out during fight week after using a strong shampoo at his mum’s house.
“So it’s funny right, I get to my mama’s house and she had some shampoo bottles under her table,” he told DAZN in the ring.
"He slapped that s*** off."

“I shampooed it, s**t was like bleach. I only lost my hair like two days ago, so I called my manager and said, ‘let’s slap that s**t on real quick’.
“And Ibeh knocked that s**t off. It’s funny man, I’m a comedian.”
