Jared Leto ‘Expressly Denies’ Recent Sexual Misconduct Allegations Made By Multiple Women

CONTENT WARNING: This article discusses alleged sexual misconduct.

Actor and Thirty Seconds To Mars frontman Jared Leto has responded to the allegations of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behaviour made against him by nine different women. One of the women alleged that the incident took place when they were underage.

Over the weekend, Air Mail published an exposé on the actor, with nine women accusing Leto of allegedly engaging in inappropriate behaviour towards them.

“It’s been an open secret for a long time,” one of the women claimed in the article.

A second woman claimed that in 2006, Leto grabbed her arm and gave her his number. She claimed to be 16 at the time.

“I looked down and it was Jared Leto,” the woman shared.

“We had a quick conversation, and he got my number.”

The anonymous woman then claimed that Leto called her days later.

“I don’t know if he was on drugs or what … It was the weirdest, grossest voice…. [But] for me, it’s Jared, you know?” she told the publication, before adding that the conversations “turned sexual” over the coming weeks.

“He’d ask things like, ‘Have you ever had a boyfriend? Have you ever sucked a dick?’”

Los Angeles-based DJ, Allie Teilz, recently reshared a 2012 Facebook post she made on Instagram, where she accused the actor of trying to “force himself” on her when she was just 17.

“Youre [sic] not really in L.A. until Jared Leto tries to force himself on you backstage… In a kilt.. And a snow hat. I was assaulted and traumatised by this creep when I was 17,” she wrote.

“I was assaulted and traumatised by this creep when I was 17,”  she penned in a second IG Story.

“He knew my age and didn’t care. What he did was predatory, terrifying and unacceptable.”

Alongside Teilz’s allegations, model Laura La Rue, claimed she had a similar encounter with Leto when she was just 16.

Speaking to the Air Mail, La Rue claimed that Leto asked her about her age at the time, and despite knowing she was 16, he allegedly invited her to his property.

“I remember him teasing me the whole time I was there,” she said.

“He was flirting with me. He’d lean in close, then pull away, like it was a game.”

La Rue also accused the singer of exposing himself to her when she was just 17.

“He just walked out, dick out, like it was normal,” she said.

“I thought maybe this was just what adult men do,” she says.

Jared Leto’s team responds to the allegations

In response to the bombshell article, a representative from Leto’s team said, “All of the allegations are expressly denied”.

In another response to the anonymous woman’s claims regarding the phone calls, in which she told Air Mail, “I don’t know if he was on drugs or what … it was the weirdest, grossest voice,” a representative for Leto said, “has not had a drink or used drugs in over 35 years”.

The representative also said, “Ms. Teilz’s allegations are demonstrably false”.

Alongisde the damning allegations, the Air Mail piece also revealed some insight into Leto’s LA parties.

In the report, it was alleged that the House of Gucci star would recruit young women to attend and that they’d ask for photos of any plus-ones.

“I was 18 the first time I went, and I was definitely not the youngest person there,” one anonymous woman alleged.

This is not the first time Leto has copped allegations for alleged behaviour. In 2005, the New York Post shared an article accusing the actor of “aggressively pursuing” teenage models.

Years later, in 2018, Dylan Sprouse called out Leto on Twitter, penning, “Yo @JaredLeto now that you’ve slid into the dm’s of every female model aged 18-25, what would you say your success rate is?”

“He starts at 18 on the internet?” director James Gunn replied.
