Jared Goff takes over at QB after John Wolford takes hit to helmet

Well, it didn’t take long for both John Wolford and Jared Goff to get into Saturday’s game against the Seahawks. Wolford got the start, but in the first quarter, he took a hit to the helmet after a rush attempt.

Goff replaced him at quarterback with 5:34 left in the first quarter.

Here’s a look at the hit Wolford took from Jamal Adams after a designed quarterback run. Though it was initially flagged, the officials decided it was a clean hit so there was no foul on the play.

Wolford was able to walk off the field under his own power, and was taken to the locker room. The Rams announced that he is questionable to return with a neck injury.
