Jared Goff, Rams speak out on social injustice and call for change

In response to the death of George Floyd, who was knelt on and killed by a police office in Minnesota, athletes everywhere have weighed in on the tragedy and the social injustice that has taken place across the country. Several Los Angeles Rams players have spoken out on police brutality and called for change after last week’s events.

Jared Goff shared a statement on Instagram this weekend, urging everyone to come together and take action in order to create the change we all want to see. Here’s what he wrote.

Cooper Kupp also shared a thread of tweets on Twitter, saying his family “will not stand for it.”

He’s calling for everyone to fight for change, even saying he has failed himself to act accordingly.

Malcolm Brown also weighed in, calling for the police to make changes in order for the racial injustice to subside.

The Rams as a team issued the following statement, saying “we are committed to working with our neighbors to do our part to bring Los Angeles together.”

Below are more reactions from Rams players after Floyd’s death and the powerful protests that have taken place across the country.
