Jared Goff makes long-term commitment to helping Inglewood students

Jared Goff has become the unquestioned leader of the Los Angeles Rams, both on the field and off it. His commitment to helping the community around him continued on Tuesday when he pledged to address education inequities in Inglewood.

It’s a long-term commitment by Goff, beginning with the purchase of backpacks and books for 1,000 students in the area, specifically the Inglewood Unified School District. Each take-home pack “will consist of books, reading and writing activities, as well as a family resource guide to help parents support and encourage their child’s reading interests and opportunities.”

Additionally, Goff is donating all proceeds from the merchandise sales of his brand JG16 to the Inglewood Unified School District.

These are just the first steps of Goff’s future plan to combat education inequity, too.

“This isn’t a one-time thing,” said Goff in a statement. “As I’ve shared with Inglewood Unified’s leadership during our discussions, I want to be part of the solution of leveling the playing field for youth in our new home. I’m excited to continue to work with Inglewood Unified to determine the most pressing needs and the most effective ways for me to ensure a greater future for our students.”

Below is a video shared by Goff, revealing his plan to help local students in their pursuit of a quality education.
