Japhet Tanganga and Jonjoe Kenny Celtic transfer latest as Olivier Ntcham heads for the exit door

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has confirmed Jonjoe Kenny is close to signing as Olivier Ntcham looks set for a move to Marseille.

After a quiet window it's set to be a busy day at Parkhead with movement in both directions.

Right-back Kenny is ready to join from Everton on loan for the rest of the season, with only the final paperwork holding that one up.

Lennon confirmed: "We just need the paperwork to be finished.

"He has been in the building, he travelled up last night so hopefully we can get that signed and sealed this afternoon.

"He's a player I have liked for a while.

"He is at Everton obviously and had a very good career at England youth at under-21 level and I watched quite a bit of him last season when he was on loan at Schalke.

"I like his qualities, his enthusiasm for the game, his character and I think he will bring that to the team.

"He is a bubbly sort of personality and he plays that way as well. He is ready to start and itching to play as well.

Celtic had offered a pre-contract deal to Ben Davies of Preston but he's set to join Liverpool on deadline day.

Lennon said: "It's a blow because we were very close to doing that and obviously we got gazumped at the last minute by Liverpool.

"He lives in that area and I'm sure financially it would have been quite rewarding for him as well so disappointed but we move on.

There's also set to be a high-profile exit, with Olivier Ntcham close to signing for Marseille on loan with an option to buy.

Lennon admitted he "wouldn't be surprised" if the 24-year-old leaves in this window.

Reports in France state that the deal is at an advanced stage.

According to RMC an agreement has been found for a loan with a €5million (£4.4m) option to buy in the summer.

Ntcham was first linked with Marseille in the summer of 2019 after he gave an interview to L'Équipe in which he stated he wanted out.
