Police arrested a Japanese man for allegedly stealing bullions worth about 2 million baht early Tuesday.

Police said Shori Yamashita, 32, was arrested on the roadside of Siripong Road in Phra Nakhon district, Bangkok, at 12.45am.

Police then searched the suspect's room no 182 on the seventh floor at The Reserve condominium on Sukhumvit 61 Road and found five bullions weighing five, 10 and 20 baht-weight worth altogether about 2 million baht.
