Japan No.1 seed Shingo Kunieda took home his seventh title -- his first in five years -- in the U.S. Open men's wheelchair singles after defeating British player Alfie Hewett 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (3) in the final on Sunday.
In the women's wheelchair doubles, Japan's Yui Kamiji teamed up with Jordanne Whiley of Britain to beat a Dutch duo, bringing Kamiji her third title overall and her first in two years. Kamiji lost to a Dutch player in the singles final.
