TV Asahi announced on Tuesday that Rio Komiya, 17, the actor who plays Kiramai Red on the series "Mashin Sentai Kiramager," has tested positive for the new coronavirus.
Komiya noticed a difference in his sense of taste and smell on March 24 and received a medical examination after filming on Friday, according to the station and his talent agency.
The next day, the station stopped production and the agency contacted the station to confirm that someone had tested positive for the virus.
The show has finished production on enough episodes for it to continue airing until mid-May. "There are no obstacles in airing the episodes that are already finished," a representative for TV Asahi said.
